ID Center Office Assistant

The ID Center is seeking an organized student assistant with excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities include: accepting deposit/payments for Cat Cash, Gift Cards and Meal Plan accounts; explaining the different types of accounts to customers; making new/replacement ID’s for students, faculty and staff; recording number of ID’s replaced; recording and posting ID bill payments; and answering phone calls. Looking for someone with availability Monday/Wednesday/Friday at least from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Also considering students with availability Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 12:30–5 p.m. Must be available at the beginning of August, early January, and throughout the summer. Experience handling and reconciling cash preferred.

Program Lead Art Installer

Seeking a student with strong attention to detail and supervisory/managerial experience to lead a team of Art Installers. Will interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate Arts Installers in the installation and take down of art exhibits throughout the year. Sensitivity toward the artwork being handled is a must, along with the ability to follow instructions carefully. Other responsibilities include: safely shipping back artwork to artist; creating title cards and comment pages for each exhibit; addressing security and care of artwork with attention to insurance liability issues; overseeing purchase of gallery supplies and maintenance of art storage closet; assisting with sale of artwork from the gallery; using creativity to solve installation challenges; and assisting with intake of artwork during contests, such as the Annual Photography Contest. Preferred qualifications include: art major with experience installing artwork in a gallery setting; ability to work with tools such as laser level, plumb line, hammer, ladder, drills; and ability to life 40-50 pounds preferred. Must be able to work after 1pm or evenings/weekends, and must be available “on call” during installation and take down of exhibits.

Human Resources Assistant

The Union Human Resources department is seeking a student assistant with a desire to learn hands-on human resource skills. The HR Assistant will conduct new hire orientations; assemble new hire paperwork, benefits packets, and other information as requested; assist with logging and tracking student performance reviews; and other responsibilities as assigned. Must be pursuing a business degree with an emphasis in Human Resource Management and be available to work most student breaks and summers. Résumé and cover letter required.

Bowling Center Guest Service Attendant

The Wabash Cannonbowl is seeking students with excellent customer service skills and a solid work ethic to join their team. Responsibilities of the position include assisting customers with bowling, billiards, engraving and refreshments; answering questions over the telephone and in person in order to promote sales and meet customer needs; helping maintain bowling lanes, automatic pinsetters, ball return and automatic scorers; and other duties as assigned. Must be available to work over the summer. Bonus if you have a prior knowledge of bowling and billiards.

Chick-fil-A Team Member

Chick-fil-A in the K-State Student Union is looking for people to join their team. Working on campus has its benefits. Among others, work between classes and for an employer that understands that you are a student first.

Responsibilities of the position include: Ensure all customers are educated on products/ services while providing a high level of customer service by greeting customers, receiving and calling back customer orders in a friendly manner. Must respond proactively to prevent customer service situations, as well as accurately ringing in orders and providing accurate transactions. Will prepare food according to Chick-fil-A standards and maintain a high level of cleanliness and restock products when necessary.

Building Operations Assistant

Set up and tear down Union rooms for events, moving tables/chairs as needed as part of setting up. Periodically check rooms in order to ensure proper set-up, cleanliness, etc. Must demonstrate a high standard of customer service. Responsible for daily cleaning duties such as wiping down furniture, sweeping carpets, etc.
