Human Resources Assistant

Responsibilities: Conduct new hire orientations and other trainings as assigned. Maintain new hire paperwork, benefit packets, and training materials. Conduct internal audits of Form I-9 documentation, personnel file contents, etc. Report on findings and rectify discrepancies. Maintain EEO and ACA data to ensure compliance with federal government regulations. Obtain working knowledge of numerous federal and state employment laws and regulations. Complete student recruitment processes by using creativity to actively recruit for open student positions.

Preferred Qualifications: Possess organizational and analytical thinking skills. Ability to work independently. Understands the importance of confidentiality. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Ability to plan, prioritize, manage, and execute projects and assignments. Creativity in production of PowerPoint projects. Desire to learn hands-on human resource related principles. Visual acuity and finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office machinery. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.

Must have summer availability.

Maintenance Assistant

Responsibilities: Assist in repairing equipment and structural items around the Union, along with troubleshooting leaks, stoppages, and inadequate supply or faulty operations of water, steam, gas, and airlines. Duties also may include painting, staining, varnishing, fixing light fixtures, cleaning Bosco Student Plaza, and emergency light testing. Help maintain a safe environment in the shop by cleaning and storing appropriate tools. Must demonstrate a high standard of customer service by assisting customers throughout the building.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience using basic tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, etc. Experience using power tools such as saws, drills, etc. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and remain on feet for long periods of time 

Seeking someone with summer availability who can start when school is out in the spring.

Bowling Center Guest Service Attendant

Responsibilities: Assist customers with bowling, billiards, engraving, refreshments and video games. Answer questions over the telephone and in person in order to promote sales and meet customers need. Help with upkeep of bowling lanes, automatic pinsetters, ball return and automatic scorers. Ensure food and beverage items are stocked and replace pop syrup boxes when needed. Prepare food items and clean cooking equipment.  Perform custodial duties by cleaning bowling center, seating areas and billiard area.  Maintain accurate and timely bowling-related records to include all stops run and for pinsetter parts repaired/replaced for inventory. Properly prepare for, record, and input league scores and standings into a 12-strike system.  

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of bowling, billiards, and general maintenance; experience with bowling mechanics; experience with computerized scoring, cash register, and engraving.

Seeking someone who can start in April and be available over the summer.

Night/Weekend Building Operations Assistant

Must be available to work approximately 9:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
