Follett Course Materials
Kansas State University is responsible for reporting textbook adoptions pursuant to the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008. To assure compliance with the law, faculty and staff should submit all adoptions, as well as all supplementary materials, including course packets and any other supplies, through the K-State Campus Store online adoption tool – Follett Course Materials.
To support student success, course material adoptions are submitted three times per year. Deadlines for submission for each term are:

How to submit adoptions using Follett Discover:
- Access Canvas: Log into K-State Canvas canvas.k-state.edu using your K-State eID and open your course for which you wish to submit textbook information.
- (Note: Users who adopt on behalf of faculty members must email 1336txt@follett.com for access.)
- Open Follet Discover: Click Follett Discover in the side menu.
- Missing? Enable it via Settings > Navigation > Enable > Save.
- Set Term: Select the correct Term and click Adopt by Section.
- Select Materials: Choose from Past Adoptions or use the search bar (ISBN/keyword) to find new materials.
- Finalize: Select your items and click Adopt Selected Items.

Where to find your courses in Follet Course Materials Tab
- Open Adoptions page: Courses are represented as a list to the right of the navigation sidebar and under the department selector. The Adoption List enables material review before submission to the store. Materials can include a combination of publisher titles, supplies and OER options (open education resources).
- Submitted Adoptions page: See the status of adoptions and adopt materials even after submissions

As the official university bookstore, the K-State Campus Store is required to have course packets available for students to through KSIS. Submit a master copy of any and all course packets, either in PDF or hardcopy form to the store. Course packets containing copyrighted material may take up to six weeks to process.
