Audrey Taggart-Kagdis Named 2025 ACUI Region II Director

Audrey Taggart-Kagdis, assistant director of marketing for the K-State Student Union, has been announced as the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Region II Director following elections last month.

Taggart-Kagdis, an alumna of Kansas State University, earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and later completed a Master of Business Administration at Emporia State University. She has dedicated more than 20 years to higher education and student life and has mentored hundreds of individuals through her work across three institutions. Taggart-Kagdis joined the Union in 2009 and during her time has advised the Union Program Council and Union Ambassadors as well as supervised the marketing department. 

An active member of the ACUI, Taggart-Kagdis has made a significant impact through her service and leadership. She received the Outstanding Staff Achievement Award in 2013 and the William H. Smith Outstanding Professional Award in 2016. Her volunteer contributions include serving on the national rebranding task force in 2017 and the strategic fundraising and corporate development task force in 2019. She later served as conference chair for the 2020 ACUI Region II virtual conference and as host chair for the 2023 ACUI Region II conference hosted at Kansas State University. 

In her new role, Taggart-Kagdis will serve as the chief administrator of the region, representing regional activities to other ACUI leaders and members. She will help strengthen campus communities through engaging regional programs and foster career development as a visible leader in the profession. She will continue to uphold the ACUI's mission of supporting college unions and student engagement professionals in their service to students and the advancement of campus life.
