What's New at the U Fall 2025
We have been busy!
Over summer break, the K-State Student Union introduced exciting updates, fresh faces and new products to favorite Union spots. Here’s what’s new at the U:
Union Resumes Normal Operating Hours. With the fall semester right around the corner, the Union is back to normal operating hours to best serve the students, faculty, and community members of K-State. All the operating hours can be found here.
New Executive Director. Erik Kahl was selected as the new executive director of the Union. Kahl is a student affairs leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing inclusive, student-centered environments in higher education. He has a strong background in organizational leadership, strategic planning, leadership development and advising, student engagement and facility management.
Cats' Den Updates. After decades of serving as a K-State Student Union favorite, the Cats’ Den underwent exciting transformations over the summer, bringing fresh new options to students and the campus community. Find new products.
New Event Management System. The Union has a new way to book events! Over the summer, the Union switched to Mazévo, a user-friendly reservation system that replaces EMS. It’s designed to make scheduling easier and improve user experience from start to finish. Click here to learn more.
Game Day Shuttle. With the first home game just weeks away, the Game Day Shuttle is back to make navigating traffic and parking easier. All rides to and from Bill Snyder Family Stadium are free. More information on parking details, ride times, and pickup locations.
Manhappiness Plaque Sale. Union Engraving is excited to announce a special offer on a premium-sized Manhappiness Plaques. Each plaque is elegantly crafted with a rich composite finish, making it a standout addition to any office or workspace area. Grab one while supplies last!
Week of Welcome. To kick off the semester, Student Programs and Involvement, Union Program Council plus campus partners will host a wide variety of activities and engagement opportunities.

- Late Night at the Union: 7pm - 10pm, Friday, Aug. 22
- Union Irish Gameday Watch Party: 10:45 am, Saturday, Aug 23 (Students only*)
- Lunch on the Plaza: 11am – 1 pm, Wednesday, Aug. 27
- Activities Carnival: 6 – 9pm, Thursday, Aug. 28
- International Block Party: 7 – 10pm, Friday Aug. 29
