Department: Bowling Center
Summary: Responsible for supporting the department with administrative and/or project-based tasks while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Position Details: Non-exempt, Part-time, Student Position
Supervisory Responsibility: No
Work Schedule: Varied; Weekends as necessary: Not to exceed 30 hours/week when school is in session. International students' schedules not to exceed 20 hours/week when school is in session.
Pay Rate: $9.25/hour
Supervised By: Manager/Bowling Center

Key Functions:
- Demonstrate high standard of customer service. Assist customers with bowling, billiards, engraving, video games, accurate product preparation for all personal orders, as well as grab and go dinners following Hunt Brothers Pizza and Union standards.
- Greet all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service.
- Accurately ring sales orders into cash register and count back change to customers.
- Help with up keep of bowling lanes, automatic pinsetters, ball return and automatic scorers.
- Prepare food items, clean and disinfect equipment and utensils.
- Follow all established food safety standards.
- Ensure all product is stocked and labeled accurately and consistently.
- Report all customer complaints to Manager/Bowling and Recreation.
- Report potential safety hazards, employee incidents, and operations inconsistencies to the Manager/Bowling and Recreation.
- Perform custodial duties in bowling center, Hunt Brothers Pizza area, seating areas and billiards area.
- Follow all local and state health and safety regulations.
- Follow all safety and lockout procedures related to the bowling center.
- Maintain accurate and timely bowling-related records to include all stops run and for pinsetter parts repaired/replaced for inventory.
- Properly prepare for, record and input league scores and standings into a 12-strike system.
- Maintain a clean, organized work space.
Qualification Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age (18 years of age for maitenance department)
- Enrolled in no fewer than six credit hours
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Organizational and time management skills
Skills and Abilities
- Remain standing 75% of shift. Finger dexterity/movement for typing, picking up small objects and utilizing varying equipment. Sight to view computer, documents, and bowling machinery. Verbal and written communication to present. convey and exchange information and ideas accurately and quickly. There are no hazardous or significantly unpleasant physical conditions.
