2023 Student Organizations Awards
Student Programs and Involvement recognized student organizations and individuals who have shaped the community at Kansas State University on Thursday, Feb. 22 in the Union Courtyard.
Award recipients were:
- Advisor of the Year: Kevin Santos-Flores, advisor to and nominated by the Hispanic American Leadership Organization
- Commitment to Inclusion and Belonging: Sexuality and Gender Alliance, nominated by a former member.
- Student Leader of the Year: Alex Ozga, Cyber Defense Club, nominated by advisors in the department of computer science.
- Student Organization Event of the Year: The National Coming Out Day Celebration, Social Justice Alliance, nominated by Lily Smith.
- Student Organization of the Year: Hispanic American Leadership Organization, nominated by Israel Quinonez.
The Union’s mission is to serve all, especially students, with facilities that provide services, programs, leadership experiences, and educational opportunities which foster a sense of well-being and belonging in an inclusive community.
