Effective July 1, 2023, the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) will merge within the K-State Student Union’s organizational structure, which will allow these units to work more closely together in helping students build community and belonging. CSI is joining forces with the Union Program Council (UPC) to continue to provide exceptional programming and engagement activities for the Kansas State University community. 

This transition creates opportunities to enhance student involvement: 

  • The Union will serve as the starting point for K-State student engagement experiences.
  • Efficiencies will be achieved that allow for better use of staff resources.
  • Increased marketing, information technology and administrative support for Student Governing Association and recognized student organizations with the Union’s in-house services. 
  • Greater resources to help support student engagement.  

The Union is pleased to announce a campus-wide, internal recruitment for a Director/Student Programs and Involvement. This full-time unclassified, exempt position is responsible for the leadership and oversight of various student-centric educational, recreational, social and cultural programs within the Union as well as support for university student organizations to enhance student involvement and success. 

The search will be chaired by Craig Johnson, Union associate director. Inquiries and applications will be treated confidentially.
