A Splash of Color with BoxHead Arts

BoxHead

Xavior Gayden is an illustrator that uses art as a way of connecting with those around him. This series “ A Splash of Color with BoxHead Arts” allows you to step into his world and gain insight into original characters and stories.

Based out of Kansas City, Missouri, Gayden has been creating art for more than 15 years and he has said that “using shapes, patterns and eye-catching colors I challenge people to use their abstract minds”. Through linework or lack thereof and beautiful splashes of color Gayden can illustrate each character's beliefs and ideas.

Gayden has also been part of many projects which include the Brown vs. Board of Education mural in collaboration with Mike Toombs, as well as the Nova Program which aids in providing the inner city with entrepreneurial activities.

Gayden’s exhibit “A Splash of Color with BoxHead Arts” will be on display in the William T. Kemper Art Gallery in the K-State Student Union from Tuesday, Jan. 17 until Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2023.

Closing reception will start at 8 pm Thursday, Feb. 16 in the William T. Kemper Art Gallery. All are welcome to meet the artist and enjoy refreshments.
