Join K-State Student Union Ambassadors as we celebrate the Union’s 67th birthday.

Free cake and ice cream will be available beginning at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Mar. 8, 2023, on the first-floor concourse of the Union. (while supplies last)

Opening in 1956, the Union’s grand opening featured the theme “Night at the Circus” and welcomed students into the newly constructed facility. Since then, the Union has undergone renovations and grown to more than 270,000 square feet.

The principles that guided the founding of the Union continue to direct the Union today and into the future. The Union supports the educational mission of the university by serving all, especially students to foster a sense of well-being and belonging in an inclusive community.
