Manhattan Watercolor Studio

Water color

Enjoy mixed media and watercolors provided by the Manhattan Watercolor Studio Group, showcased in the William T. Kemper Art Gallery on the Union’s first floor. The exhibit will be available through May 15, 2023.

The group has been meeting for decades and is associated with the Manhattan Arts Council.  Members meet for weekly sessions at the MAC annex for member demonstrations, monthly challenges, a weekly critique, and twice yearly professionally led 3–4 day workshops. MAC community studios are for makers who want to create in a community setting.

Member artists primarily paint in watercolor but also use other water media including acrylic paints and mixed media. Many of the artists show in exhibits locally and a number have received recognition in national competitions.
