Assistant Director of K-State Student Union to Retire

Jeff Clark

Jeff Clark, assistant director/retail services at the K-State Student Union, has announced his retirement effective Dec. 22, 2023. A celebration is scheduled from 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15 in the Fireside Lounge on the first floor of the Union. Remarks to begin at 3pm.

Clark joined the Union in 2016 after being a partner of the Union as a Sodexo executive chef and retail director. During his time at Kansas State University, Clark maintained profitable food service operations during the 2015-2017 Union renovation, including the implementation of a food truck program on campus.

Regarding his career Clark has said "I have worked for 50 years and have met the most incredible people along the way. I have very much enjoyed my time at K-State."

Before his time at K-State, Clark managed nightclubs throughout the 1980s and returned to food service once he started a family. He split his time between managing restaurants and catering at hotels. He also was the executive chef for various country clubs.

Clark received a culinary arts degree in 1981 from Penn Valley Community College, Kansas City, Missouri.

The Union’s mission is to serve all, especially students, with facilities that provide services, programs, leadership experiences, and educational opportunities that foster a sense of well-being and belonging in an inclusive community.
