UPC Presents Paul Russell

Paul Russell Headshot with the Union in the background

Get ready to kick off the semester as Union Program Council is excited to announce a free back-to-school concert featuring Paul Russell, the mastermind behind the chart-topping hit “Lil Boo Thang.” The event will be at 8 pm, Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 in the K-State Student Union Courtyard with doors opening at 7:30 pm.

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Russell brings a unique recipe to his music, describing it as "cookout music you listen to outside with a bunch of friends.” His signature blend of rhythms, hooks, R&B, funk, pop, and hip-hop has made his music the soundtrack to viral TikTok and Instagram videos.

As a former Cornell student, Russell knows a thing or two about setting the perfect party vibe, having DJ'd legendary gatherings during his college days. His eclectic inspirations have paved the way for a sound that's as diverse and exciting as his musical journey.
