The Fall 2019 semester is almost over and Winter Break is almost here! It can be hard to feel festive when there’s homework to turn in, projects to present and finals to take, but don’t despair; for the last 12 days of the semester, we present to you, “12 Days of De-Stress!”

Dec. 9

On the first day of De-Stress, the Union gave to me: a quiet place to study!

Need a peaceful space for studying finals? The Union offers meeting rooms as student study spaces, plus extended hours during dead week and finals. Check out all potential study spaces here, and see the digital screens around the Union for daily availability.

Dec. 10

On the second day of De-Stress, the Union gave to me: two free pancakes and a quiet place to study!

Check out Union Program Council’s “Flapjacks and Lumberjacks” from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 in the Union Courtyard! Enjoy pancakes while you make bags of trail mix, enjoy hot cocoa and of course, eat some delicious flapjacks. There will also be a raffle for a lumberjack-worthy prize pack!

Dec. 11

On the third day of De-Stress, the Union gave to me: three print jobs, two free pancakes and a quiet place to study!

Printing off your last assignments for the semester doesn’t have to be stressful! There are black-and-white printers next to the Cats’ Den, on the Ground Floor next to the center staircase and outside the IT Help Desk; a color printer is available next to the Library Help Desk. If you’re crunched on time or need something special, swing by the Copy Center! Their high-speed color and black-and-white digital printers can scan, copy and print documents faster than normal office photocopiers.

Dec. 12

On the fourth day of De-Stress, the Union gave to me: four ways to help, three print jobs, two free pancakes and a quiet place to study!

A great way to feel better during stressful times is to help others! There are four ways you can do that at the Union:

  • Donate to Cats’ Cupboard in the donation bin by Cats’ Den.
  • Round up your purchase at Panda Express to benefit Children’s Miracle Network.
  • Round up your purchase at Union Kitchen to benefit Cats’ Cupboard.
  • Ask the Library Help Desk about donating your gently used textbooks to K-State Libraries to support the Textbook Affordability program! Learn more about the Textbook Affordability program here and find more information about donating here.

Dec. 13

On the fifth day of De-Stress, the Union gave to me: free laser tag, four ways to help, three print jobs, two free pancakes and a quiet place to study!

Don’t miss UPC’s last official event of the semester! Check out Laser Tag at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 in the Union Ballroom. Teams of 12 will go head to head with multiple game modes. If you don’t have a team of 12, UPC will match you up with other players.

Dec. 14

On the sixth day of De-Stress, the Union gave to me: six bowling balls, free laser tag, four ways to help, three print jobs, two free pancakes and a quiet place to study!
